A seriously stylish detached family home in sought-after Aslockton, featuring bi-fold doors, stunning Oak flooring, landscaped gardens, outdoor bar, electric gates and beautifully finished interiors throughout. Modern family living done properly.
Detached Family Home
Tucked away in the ever-popular village of Aslockton, this seriously stylish detached home has been beautifully modernised throughout and somehow manages to feel both high-end and properly family-friendly at the same time. Which is harder to pull off than most people think.
The current owners have absolutely nailed the balance here. It’s modern without feeling cold, spacious without feeling empty and stylish without looking like nobody’s allowed to actually live in it.
The moment you walk through the door, the finish of the property immediately stands out. The Oak flooring flows beautifully through the ground floor, the décor has clearly been carefully thought about and there’s a real sense that this is a home people have genuinely enjoyed living in, not just somewhere that’s been “done up for sale”.
The kitchen is exactly what most buyers are hoping for but rarely find. Contemporary, sociable and packed with quality touches including granite worktops, a large central island, integrated Neff appliances and underfloor heating. It’s the sort of room where kids do homework, friends gather with wine and somebody always ends up leaning on the island talking for two hours longer than planned.
To the rear, the main living room opens beautifully onto the garden through bi-fold doors, flooding the space with natural light and making summer evenings feel properly special. There’s also a second versatile reception room which could work brilliantly as a snug, playroom, home office or ground floor bedroom depending on what life currently throws at you.
Upstairs offers three well-sized bedrooms, including a fantastic principal suite with fitted wardrobes and a sleek modern en-suite, while the additional shower room has all the same clean and contemporary styling found throughout the house.
Then there’s the garden.
And honestly, this is where the property really starts showing off a bit.
Designed with both families and entertaining in mind, the landscaped rear garden offers plenty of lawn space, decked seating areas and, best of all, a garden bar that is guaranteed to suddenly make you far more popular with friends and relatives during the summer months.
To the front, electric gates open onto a generous private driveway with ample parking, while the position of the property gives it a tucked-away feel despite still being brilliantly placed for transport links and well-regarded schools.
Homes like this are dangerous to view because once you’ve seen it, everything else afterwards feels a bit disappointing.
